Abstract of the PhD project<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The global scenario based on a linear economy model is characterized by accumulation of industrial wastes and loss of biodiversity. The objective of my research project is the chemical and biological investigation of Tuscan fruit and vegetable varieties to preserve plant biodiversity and the recovery of waste plant biomasses in order to promote their health applications in the perspective of a circular economy model. In detail, the experimental program includes the extract preparation from selected plant biomasses, the study of their quali-quantitative content in terms of bioactive compounds by UHPLC-DAD-HR-Orbitrap\/ESI-MS analyses and the evaluation of their biological properties..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
