PhD project Title:
Design of multi-approach methodologies for preparing and characterizing efficient materials for drug delivery
Abstract of the PhD project:
Cheherazade Trouki is a PhD student in Science of Drug and Bioactive Substances at the University of Pisa. She is also a Research grant holder at the Institute for Chemical and Physical Processes at the Italian National Research Council (CNR-IPCF). Her research activities are focused on Computational multi-scale Modeling, from Quantum Chemistry calculations to reactive and non-reactive Molecular Dynamics simulations. The main aim of her PhD project is to prepare and characterize efficient inorganic and bio-based materials that can be loaded with molecules of biological interest to overcome issues like drug resistance. She is currently working on a theranostic nanosystem (MITHoS PRIN2020) against Multiple Myeloma, aiming to describe and predict the nanoparticle-drug assembly’s structures, properties, and behaviors.
