During the stay abroad, the amount of the scholarship is increased by 50% proportionally to the days spent at the foreign laboratory. This period have to be not less of 15 continuous days; the maximum period for the increase of scholarship amounted to 18 months.
For the achievement of the scholarship increase, the student have to send MAG form, signed in original by the foreign supervisor, indicating the exact period of stay.
For the reimbursement of mission costs, the PhD student refers to the University rule for the missions (available at the web site https://www.unipi.it/index.php/regolamenti-di-ateneo/item/1604-area-amministrativo-contabile ) and contacts the administrative office of the Department for the relative authorization.
Doctoral students who intend to spend a period abroad must request formal authorization from the Teaching Body. The authorization allows the application of insurance coverage. To request this authorization they must complete the following form (word format, pdf format) and send it to the Doctoral Course Coordinator (tiziano.tuccinardi@unipi.it). Once the request has been approved and the Emergency Measure or the relevant Resolution has been prepared, the doctoral student will receive the Authorization Form relating to the aforementioned authorization via email which must be sent by opening a ticket via the virtual help desk.
